For Thanksgiving this year, Laurence and I decided to check out the free meal offered by the church in downtown Cruz Bay. It was a great turn out, and really great food! We couldn’t have been more thankful for the West Indian hospitality we encountered – we even left with a box of seconds!
Here I am, my first retail job experience. It was a confusing start, but I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of it. I thought about writing a brief description of Made in St John, and the parent company/store Big Planet, but I decided that it would be better if I just included […]
While I was working at Made in St John, Emily was sweet enough to take my camera for a walk… so it could poo. She refused to edit and post the images, so I did it for her. I think they’re pretty great. Yes I do.
I took waaaay too many pictures this halloween. Cruz bay was literally crawling with St Johnians, dressed to the nines in their scariest digs. I had a hard time narrowing down the pics for this post, so I decided to just start with my ultimate favorites (which happened to be the ones that I worked […]
On Saturday, Woody’s hosted it’s first wing eating contest to raise money for breast cancer research. Needless to say, it was a success. Congrats to Marc Blackburn for walking away with this years title and trophy. On a side note: The event raised over $23,000!!!
It was Mikey P’s last night visiting us in St John. We decided to head down to Buddy’s Hurricane Hole to see if they’d be willing to let him play, they were. Emily managed to get an art project session going too!
emily and took a trip to cruz bay this evening. while there, we met up with daniel benson. after experimenting with stickers we went to larry’s landing to grab a bite. none of that is documented in this post. what is, however, is the neat acrylic and watercolor collaborative piece emily and daniel did together.
This was our first Carnival event at St John. It’s held every year around July 4th. It’s the culmination of a week long celebration on the island-all of the Virgin Islands celebrate carnival, St John is the last. We went a little overboard with how many images we decided to upload to the gallery, between […]
Emily and I had a shoot down in Cruz Bay for the St. John Sun Times. Specifically, it was an ad shoot for P&S Water delivery. Water is a precious/rare commodity here on St John, as there are no natural fresh water sources (save for what falls from the sky). Paris, the owner of the […]
after the wagapalooza event, we walked down to the beach bar to say ‘hi’ to vic and to inquire about a car. still no luck, however vic did offer to let us use his for a few days! we were approached by John , the front man for Rockfish (the band playing that night), asking […]
